Emails are a great way for you to connect with clients: to reinforce good feelings about your business, to remind them of new services or products you’re selling, to answer questions, and to create community. But getting people to subscribe, and to stay subscribed, to email programs is another thing.
There are a variety of reasons that people decide to join an email list. Sometimes they feel like you’re keeping up your end of the bargain – you said you’d email them once a month and you do. Sometimes they feel like their particular, personalized needs are getting met.
Whatever the reason, there are ways that you can keep them as interested as possible. For starters, email subscribers should be able to view your email on any device. And they should have some degree of control, say in the frequency.
If you find that your subscriber interest is lagging, there are ways you can get them to re-engage.
Solutions and benefits are two great ways, as are incentives and updates. In addition, emails that look good are important, too.
