You’ll fail because those tips, tricks, plugins and social networks are easy maybe even sexy short-term fixes to your real problem…
And don’t kid yourself that content is only a you problem.
Content is a me problem and Tom Treanor problem and an everyone problem.
That’s why content marketing works.
Because it takes time and effort and strategy and are so far bloggers and marketers and small business professionals out there that willing to take the time … check that make the time and effort and build the strategy to be a success.

But after I give you this “tip” I want you to do these things and you to promise to do them.
- Set a goal. I don’t care if it’s a traffic goal, a bounce rate goal, a subscription goal… Set a goal.
- Go out and buy a bottle of Champagne (or good scotch) that you will open upon reaching your goal.
- Do as I’m about to tell you.
One tip that make you Content Marketing a Success
Specifically use short, laser focused, videos that either solve a problem or answer a question and then post then on YouTube.
Optimize the crap out of each video, meaning Keywords in Title, Links and Keywords in Description, Tags, etc.
I’m not going to discuss optimizing YouTube videos because Paul Wolfe has already done this for us all with YouTube SEO.
Once you have these videos optimized on YouTube, embed them onto your blog using YouTube’s “Old Code” (it’s an option you click when embedding).
For good measure share videos on Google+ and Facebook making sure that a link to the blog post is listed in YouTube video description… (side note: upload the original video to Google+ and Facebook as well as this helps with engagement and indexing)
Now do this a lot…
Start today … Then do it again the next day.
Listen for the next question you get pertaining to your business answer it in Two minutes or less via video.
