Well, they’re the same person for one thing…
Meet Superman
Danny Iny, co-founder of Firepole Marketing, has written almost 100 guest posts, over 50 posts on his own blog, has co-authored TWO books with co-authors such as Guy Kawasaki, Brian Clark and Mitch Joel and has done about 50 interviews. In addition, while doing all this, he got married and launched two major coaching programs.
Oh, and did I mention that this was all done in the period of just over one year?
Can’t you see why I think he’s got some sort of superpower?
Freddy Krueger?
So what’s this business about Freddy Krueger?
Well, that’s the guy in The Nightmare On Elm Street movies. He’s a pretty scary dude and he’s everywhere.
That’s what these superpowers did for Danny. With his guest posts running over a short period on such a huge number of very popular blogs, he became known as the “Freddy Krueger of Blogging”. Everywhere you looked, he was there, looking right at you!
Needless to say, this visibility did huge things for Danny’s business.
The Real Secret
What’s interesting about the situation is that Danny’s not superhuman. Yes, he worked really hard, but he had an ace in the hole to make this whole thing happen.
What’s that, you ask?
The Process Freak
It’s that he’s a process freak.
Yes, you heard me. Danny will hate me for saying this, but he’s so obsessive that he can’t help but research, discover, engineer, document and meticulously follow the best processes known to man. Oh, and then he’ll reengineer, test, add new angles and document it again.
He worked on his process like a master craftsman polishes the burrs and imperfections off a machined and highly engineered piece of precision equipment. He fussed over the process like Gollum fussed over “his precious”.
Jealously guarding it until it was ready for the world to see.
The Process Is The Solution
At first Danny was THE critical piece of this equation. If he didn’t brute force the process, nothing would come of it. No guest posts, no traffic, no business visibility.
After he refined the process to its most effective form, it started to become a much, much bigger part of the solution. No longer was Danny pushing his blogging forward just by sheer force of will.
It was like putting rollers under a couch. Exert the same effort and rather than moving a foot, it would move across the room. The process worked!
With the formula, Danny could easily identify the blogs to write for, discover the winning topics and write posts that blog owners can’t get enough of. Not only that, but using the process and his templates he can write winning blog posts in under two hours.
Out of the Vault
Some formulas stay hidden forever (Coke anyone?), but on occasion a game-changing formula gets released into the world.
Danny is releasing the “Write Like Freddy” formula to the world with a webinar on 3/27 that I’m honored to be hosting. Will you be there?
Two Free Memberships

Hi Tom….
You’re right. Danny is a process guy. Which is why he rocks.
He took the McDonald’s “system” formula; stuck it to writing posts for results, and bingo, he’s got the results to show for it.
Nicely done Danny. And thanks for bringing this forth Tom. All good stuff here… :-)

Hahaha… an epic post applauding an epic person and his epic process…
…so epic.
(Note: By ‘epic’ I don’t mean a homer-like odyssey, I mean slang for “exceptional”).
Hmm… I naturally turn out quality, sexy content in short time periods, but I’d love a spot in the Write Like Freddy program just to experience it. To connect with Danny Iny in anyway is always a thrill for me. He’s my kind of people, big-vision, game-changing, and focused on success, and he does it all with purpose and meaning. Besides, a mark of the successful is that no matter how good they are, they’re always looking to be better — that’s me :D
He also never fails to give props and credit to tons of other people in his circle :)
Thanks for this, Tom!

I would have to say that accomplishing that much in such a short time period is not only a product of killer process, but killer vision.
It’s not just about finding a blog, it’s about finding the right blogs – then coming up with sharp, valuable, and action-oriented content. The system itself just sounds like its creating a win-win-win (site, poster, and audience) for everyone involved.
The proper knowledge and ideas combined with the right amount of action and implementation make for great results, which has seriously got me interested in learning more here and from Danny. Definitely going to check this webinar out and would love a spot in the class.

Jason. I think you nailed it there. It’s not just about cranking out posts, it takes time and a good strategy to find the right blogs, communicate with the owners and then write the right kind of posts. It’s a treat to see the process in action (and I’ll be using it for my next guest post).

I am amazed at the sheer amount of content Danny produces. I do think he has some kind of superhuman power, I just can’t quite get a handle on it. ;-) We’re mere mortals compare to him.
But having a process is definitely the key, especially for us solopreneurs.

Tom,
I have gone through this program and it was really awesome! It is really a step-by-step stuff and he is even giving e-mail templates for approaching other bloggers.
In general, I was very pleased! And yes, if you are willing to take action on what he teaches, your blogging/writing will improve.
Cheers,
Timo

Yes, a couple of you got in on his pilot launch. I really liked the materials and I’ve used part of the style on my most recent post (although I need to go back to the model to see what I missed). I think your comment makes sense for so many things – take action or it’s just another good thing to know. Here’s to taking the right actions!

Very cool! I’ve definitely been following Danny Iny’s rise over the last year or so but had no idea that behind the scenes it was all about process. That makes total sense though. I don’t think you can crank out this amount of stuff with just hard labor alone. (Unless he never sleeps, which is entirely possible – LOL!)

Having worked with Danny I’ve seen that he believes in process and he really leveraged his process to get so much done in a short amount of time. He probably doesn’t sleep much but at least none of us need to match his record of guest posts in such a short amount of time!

I’m definitely a believer in creating processes that can be repeated. There is the obvious challenge of finding good blogs to approach for guest posts and a good angle, and making time.
More subtle challenges revolve around mindset, writers block or fatigue, and being able to write on a schedule (part mindset and part how you plan.) Since I’ve been developing my own processes for writing articles regularly, it would be timely to for me win one of the spots in this program.
